🎲 Tournament Format:

  • 80 individual players (no teams)
  • 20 tables, 4 players per table
  • Games played to 150 points
  • Top 2 from each table move on — bottom 2 stay
  • Fast-paced, musical-chairs-style rotation
  • 6 rounds total
  • Buffet served after Round 3
  • After Round 6, Top 16 enter a single-elimination bracket

 

📊 Real-Time Scoring System

  • Players fill out scorecards after each round
  • Scorecards are collected and entered into a live Google Sheet
  • Linked to a private website for real-time leaderboard access via mobile
  • Tournament Points determine the Top 16

📏 Gameplay Rules (Highlights)

  • Spinner Rule: First double is the spinner — playable on all four sides
  • Scoring: 5 points to get on and game is to 150
  • Domino: First player out collects all remaining points
  • Blocked Game: Lowest count wins and collects points
  • Visibility: All dominoes must remain visible — no hiding
  • No Substitutions or Teams
  • No Slamming that disrupts the table
  • Each Round: 15 minutes
  • Move Timer: 30 seconds max
  • Must play if a valid move is available
  • Breaks only after rounds
  • Scorecards submitted to staff after every game

🏁 The Final 16 Bracket

  • Top 16 ranked players advance after Round 6
  • Each playoff match = 1 game to 150 points
  • Winners move on — Final 4 showdown determines the champion
